Yay, you’re back! Welcome to BTRtoday’s Discovery Corner podcast brought to you by, Levi’s.

Holly Miranda is the badass, rock’n’roller chick you’d think only exists in movies. She’s a modern day character straight out of “Almost Famous.” Her songs have heartbreaking lyrics backed by killer melodies that hit you right where it’s needed.

When BTRtoday caught up with her she had just returned from a march in Washington D.C. for women’s reproductive rights and her voice sounded all raspy and blues from the protesting.

She spoke with us about her solo projects, her political activism, humanitarian actions, and her side music projects–including her band The Singles with Scarlett Johansson and Este Haim!Currently, she’s concentrating on creating more collaborative pieces. She’s writing with Modest Mouse guitarist Jim Fairchild on some new tunes, as well with Josh Werner, who was the bassist for Matisyahu and co-writer on the Grammy nominated album “Youth.”

She’s had an amazing journey into her musical career that you just have to hear about!
