QTY are a NYC rock band. With fairly straightforward, no-nonsense rock grooves and licks, they employ a satisfying speak-singing style that plants them firmly in place in the tradition of The Velvet Underground, Television, and The Strokes. The band isn’t just bashing away recklessly – they clearly know what they’re doing with melody and harmony, and the sweet touch of male/female voices makes it all just that much more enjoyable. The band stopped by Serious Businss Music in DUMBO to give us a look at how they do it.
QTY’s self-titled debut full length is available now.
