Pom Pom Squad is the brainchild of musical force Mia Berrin. While the band’s name and imagery might evoke something fun and light, the reality is far darker and much, much heavier. Musically and lyrically, the project falls somewhere between 90’s Liz Phair and \ modern confessional indie rock like Soccer Mommy and Phoebe Bridgers, but with a good dose more punch in the heavy bits. The band brought their massive energy to Serious Business Music in Brooklyn for this session.
Pom Pom Squad’s debut album, Ow, is available now.
