Living Body is the latest project of Jeff T. Smith (previously of Juffage) – a Leeds-based musician originally from Chicago. The experimental pop group began with a “Sonic Cauldron” concert at Left Bank Leeds in 2013, where Smith assembled a group of musicians to collaborate for the event (including Katie Harkin from Sky Larkin and Tom Evans from Vessels), ultimately leading to future collaboration and the evolution of Living Body as a proper band. The live group for their recent US tour took the form of a trio, featuring Alice Rowan handling many of the vocal and electronic drumming duties. The band stopped by Serious Business Music in DUMBO, Brooklyn to give us our first taste of how they make it all happen live.
Body Is Working, the debut LP by Living Body, is available now.
