Fiona Silver is a New York City musician who embraces the famously gritty vibe of the downtown music scene, treading the lines between garage rock, pop, soul, and blues with sultry, jazzy tunes. While young, there’s no lack of experience or energy here, as Fiona and her band skillfully blend genres and work the city’s club scene. We last caught up with her on the Lower East Side for an episode of BTR Hear & There; now, she and the band head across the river for this intimate session at Serious Business Music in DUMBO! Fiona Silver is currently working on new music for an upcoming release.
Rose Cousins is a Canadian songwriter and performer, born in Prince Edward Island and currently living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. An accomplished musician on her own, Rose thrives on collaboration while crafting her strong, heartfelt songs, and called upon an extensive list of heavy duty collaborators for her latest album. She brought the band, which has a distinct Nashville leaning, to Serious Business Music in DUMBO for this lovely session. Natural Conclusion by Rose Cousins is available now.
Wyldlife are a supercharged 70’s-style punk rock ‘n roll gang from New York City. These guys are the total package - fast, tight, and overflowing with catchy riffs behind a wicked sense of humor and a sneer, all clad in the requisite leather jacket. The guys stopped by Serious Business in DUMBO to tear it up for this session! Out On Your Block is available now from Wicked Cool Records.
Auditorium is the musical project of Los Angeles-based Spencer Berger, who began his music career singing with The Metropolitan Opera’s Children’s Chorus. A sense of drama persists in his music as well as on the album which he created by himself, recording all vocals and instruments -- the lush melodies and layers of sound provide a bed for Spenser’s tales. He dropped by Serious Business Music in DUMBO to share an intimate, stripped-down look at his music. The First Music is available now.
