BTR Eatopia: Stay-cation Edition
This week is vacation week at BTR. For Hanabi and Insane Dane it was Stay-cation week. Hanabi explores some upscale, delicious dishes in the San Francisco Mission District at Commonwealth. Seattle may be many things, but it’s not a BBQ capitol. But, Pecos Pit Barbecue is doing it’s very best to change that.
As much as we on the west coast hear from New Yorkers that we can’t get good bagels here, I will always quickly respond that they live in a Mexican food desert. But, Barrio Chino is working to change that perception. Insane Dane paid them a visit on his stay-cation. From the looks of it, not to shabby. Speaking of bagels, Insane Dane visited Thompson Bagel, and got one called “The Weezer.” That sounds so L.A. of him.
There’s also a recipe for some delicious chicken tacos and a Spanish halibut dish, with garbanzos and chorizo discussed as well. Get ready!
