Key Lime Yo!
Ah yeah, Key Lime pie! What’s better? Key Lime by Hanabi. yeah that’s awesome. Want the recipe? Okay.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 cup lime juice(about 2 limes)
Whipped Cream – Make your Own Damnit!
Let’s do it:
In large skillet, melt butter.
Combine flour and remaining crust ingredients with butter.
Cook over medium-high heat, until mixture is medium golden brown & crumbly.
Reserve 1/3 cup crumb mixture for topping.
Press remaining mixture, using back of fork, firmly into bottom and sides of 9-inch pie pan.
In large bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, set aside.
In small bowl, beat egg yolks.
Gradually add condensed milk; mix well.
Stir in lime zest. Add lime juice a little at a time, stirring after each addition.
Fold mixture into egg whites.
Pour into crust. Top with reserved crumbs.
Chill until set.
