DJ Meredith visits Jamaican restaurant Miss Lily’s, in New York City. Miss Lily’s is a Caribbean oasis in the middle of downtown Manhattan, serving up some authentic cuisine. Miss Lily’s specializes in a modern approach to classic island cooking and Meredith is here to tell you all about her dining experience. Also, enjoy learning how to concoct an easy Ackee Dip! Invite a group of friends over for the night, but with a Jamaican twist!

Ackee Dip Recipe

2 Ackee
1 Clove chopped garlic
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
Pinch of sea salt
1 Medium chopped tomatoes
1 Tbsp Fresh chopped cilantro

Instructions

Boil the ackee in water for about 5-10 minutes, or until soft, remove from heat, pit, skin, and mash the contents. Mix with chopped garlic, lemon juice, a pinch of sea salt, and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until cold. Then mix in some chopped tomatoes and cilantro, and you’ve got yourself some Ackee Dip! Garnish with your favorite plantain chips.
