Today we are cooking lentils in the rice cooker. It’s about as easy as it gets, very inexpensive, and frequently considered a healthy food to eat by health food people. Lots of protein and fiber- keeps you nourished for days! Sounds like a winner to me, I don’t know about you!
1/2 cup dry lentils
1 cup water
Spices and herbs to taste
You cook them basically the same way you would cook rice in a rice cooker. Just dump in the lentils, dump in the water, add your spices, and set the cooker to ‘cook.’ That is literally all you have to do. I would, however, recommend stirring occasionally so the lentils in the bottom of the bowl do not burn. Nothin’ to it and quite tasty, just be sure to season it well!
