Gretchen Schere is New York-based artist whose work with paint and collage re-creates interior spaces that speak to our subconscious dreams. She received her MFA from Hunter College in 2006 and her BFA at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003. Her work has been included in exhibitions in the following New York galleries: Art 3, Equity, Firework, the Joan Mitchell Foundation. She has been an artist in resident at the Vermont Studio Center, Governor’s Island Art Fair and Skowhegan. Her work has reviewed in publications such as: the New York TImes, Art F City and XLR8R Magazine.
