Joe Bochynski is a Brooklyn-based artist whose multi-disciplinary work explores ideas surrounding symbolism, archeology and power. He received his MFA in painting from Rhode Island school of design in 2013 and has since has had solo shows at Big Orbit Gallery in Buffalo, NY; Davis Gallery at Hobart Smith and William College in Geneva, NY; and TFNF Gallery in Brooklyn. He has also shown at David & Schweitzer Contemporary, Black and White Galley and Wayfarers Gallery, also in Brooklyn. In 2016 He received a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant and a Vermont Studio Center Fellowship in 2015.
