Ryan Leitner is an artist whose paintings offer a quilted perspective on identity. His work combines mediums like the ancient print practice of water marbling with modern digital printing as a way to explore his nomadic history in a military family.

Since receiving his MFA from The Museum School at Tufts University in 2016, Ryan has been commissioned by organizations like the Plumbing Museum in Watertown, MA, and he participated in several group shows. He has also He has curated exhibitions throughout the Boston area . After a solo show at AREA Gallery in Boston, Leitner created original costumes for the Opera Rumpelstiltskin in New York in May of this year and co curated an exhibition at Northeastern University on LGBTQ archives and events. He is currently planning for his residency in New Orleans at Art Klub, where he will be working on paintings of figures and bodies.
