Brian Michael Dunn is a DC-based artist whose work explores notions of abstraction, popular culture and craft.
Michael received his MFA from Cornell Unviersity in 2013 and a BFA in painting from Boston University in 2004
He has recently exhibited work at the Rosenberg Gallery at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD; Hamiltonian Gallery in Washington, DC; Terrault Gallery in Baltimore, MD; Automat Gallery in Philadelphia; and Lipani Gallery at Fordham University; among others.
He has received a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award Grant, the Hamiltonian Artists Fellowship, Millay Arts Colony Residency, a Mid-Atlantic Arts Council Fellowship, and a Byrdcliffe Artists Residency, among others.
He is currently showing work in a 3-part exhibition with Tiger Strikes Asteroid.
