New York band Alpenglow is Peter Coccoma, Graeme Daubert, and Elori Kramer - joined here by Daniel Ocanto and Nico Hedley. The band’s warm, sprawling sound has such a familiar and inviting feel to it that the songs seem familiar at first, then unravel new threads along the way. The band joined us at Serious Business Music to share some music from their new record. Oceans In Between is available now. Check out the video for Alpenglow's "Figure 8" and listen to the audio podcast for more music and interview.

Realworld are the product of a lifetime of consuming the best of 90’s pop-rock culture - party jams, MTV, sweet style, and totally rad attitude fueling their honest, nostalgic tunes. The band dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to remind us how to really party. “Get Busy” is the latest single from Realworld. Check out the video for Realworld's "Get Busy" and listen to the audio podcast for more music and interview.

For this session, Longo and the band - in this case Tom DiCarlo (upright bass), Yaniv Taubenhouse (keyboard), and Jerad Lippi (drums) dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to give us this preview of the upcoming album. Wooden Cave is available from Egghunt Records. Check out Thin Lear's performance of "Your Family" and listen to the audio podcast for more music and interview.
This weird year is wrapping up—finally. It feels strange to do a year’s end list. A lot happened this year, but also a lot didn’t happen. The music industry as we know it ground to halt in March, but we’ve adapted, and even if there aren’t any tours or sweaty club shows, people are still making music. And that’s a good thing. In this episode I’ll be recapping some of my favorite tracks from the artists who joined me on Live Studio from home. Thanks to everyone who joined me on the show to gripe about 2020  and shared their music with me.
Brooklyn-based duo True Dreams are a wickedly fun and raw tag team of “cheerleader punx” songwriters who go right for the throat with their snotty anthems. Don’t be fooled by the cuteness of their gimmicky onstage patty cake (it’s awesome tho) - they absolutely mean business and will FUCK YOU UP. They’re sloppy and fun and silly and totally serious and if you disagree, well, whatever. Angela Carlucci plays guitar and sings, and Hannah Nichols plays drums and sings, and we were so psyched to have them join us at Serious Business Music in Brooklyn for this super fun session. No. 1 is out now from King Pizza Records. Check out the video for True Dreams' "Fucked Up World" and listen to the audio podcast for more music and interview.
The Rizzos return to BTR Live Studio, except this time instead of playing at Serious Business Music in Brooklyn they’re just playing in Justin’s living room in Ridgewood.  In this episode we catch up about staying creative in a global pandemic, the recording of their forthcoming full-length album (hitting your ear holes sometime in 2021) and the joys of quitting a job that you hate.
Megan Mancini and Justin Ferraro of Brooklyn garage punk band The Rizzos - along with drummer Cody Buesing - join us for a very different return appearance on BTR Live Studio, this time from Justin’s living room in Ridgewood, Queens! The Rizzos are working on a full-length album due some time in 2021! Listen to the audio podcast for more music and interview.
Bird Language is Jake Backer and Will Hutchison, a producing duo who met back in college and have been making beats in Brooklyn ever since. This year Bird Language released their debut album, Insider Art, which was four years in the making. In this episode of BTR Live Studio at Home, Backer and Hutchison discuss their collaborative process, the joys of escaping the city to record, and their all time favorite birds.
