It’s been a few years since Pittsburgh songwriter Brooke Annibale stopped by our studio for a session. In that time, her sound has continued to grow and evolve - holding onto that timeless quality we’ve always loved while introducing some fresh elements to keep things exciting. On August 7th, Drag City announced the death of one of its artists, David Berman. Berman fronted Silver Jews and his honest and raw lyrics built a cult following (which included the BTR Staff). Today on The Alt-Country Show, we are paying tribute to him by featuring tracks from his latest project, Purple Mountains. The project dropped its first and only album less than a month before his death. RIP to one of the greats.
