We've got three great new lady bands on the show today. Steffaloo, Talk Normal, and Tamaryn all have new albums out, and we're playing a ton of songs from them on the show today. Make sure to stay tuned and check them out. And don't forget to visit BTR on Facebook and Twitter for all of the latest updates!
Getting weird today, guys... Bear with me OK... Now, see usually I don't do this, but uh... Well, go ahead and give 'em a little preview of the Rock Show..
For Winning Week on BTR, we bring you an in-depth conversation with Marcia Rock and Patricia Lee Stotter, the filmmakers behind a new documentary called Service: When Women Come Marching Home. The film explores post-traumatic stress syndrome, military sexual trauma, homelessness, and other issues facing military service women.
This is perhaps the most PVNISHING edition of the Rock Show yet! BRVTAL KVLT MVRDER PVNK. Enter if V dare, hehe!
On this week's Monday Mix confess to Father John Misty, make your best ooohhh noise with Oberhofer, and witness a supergroup in Diamond Rugs
Today on the show we come the closest we've come in a long time to having strictly New Weird America music on the show. That's very cool, considering how much the genre has exploded on itself and especially considering a lot of the music on the show today is completely 100% new! Make sure to check out BTR on Facebook and Twitter, too!
Heartbreak with Moonface, a three pack from M. Ward, and music for your mouth are all on Monday's mix with DJ Wynn
What's the best day of the week?  Uh, Saturday!!  Not just because it's the weekend and most fun day out of the whole week, but because you've got such great tunes here on BTR!  Make sure to check out all of our other programming and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Music from M. Ward's new record is in today's mix! Plus, catch tunes from Miike Snow, .fun and Alex Winston!
We've got a very special guest for this week's Video Game edition of Sew & Tell! Holly Conrad has loved making costumes ever since she was five years old, and has turned her passion into a career. Holly has worked creating costumes for everything from haunted houses to an animatronics company, but perhaps most spectacular has been her personal work for San Francisco's internationally renowned comic book and gaming convention, Comic Con. She's been attending and competing in the Comic Con Masquerade for years, and it was her participation there that caught the eye of documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock. Holly is featured as one of the main stories in his most recent documentary, "Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan's Dream," which has led her to even more exciting opportunities in costume design and construction. On this week's show, Holly will talk about some of the design challenges she's faced in creating creatures and armor, her passion for improved female character costuming, her involvement in the documentary, and her dream to one day "green" the special effects industry. Plus, great music on the show today from Alex Winston, Ero Gray, Zambri, Xiu Xiu, and another new track from M. Ward's latest release. So get your sword in hand, and prepare for a design battle of the fittest, here on BreakThru Radio!
Big news for BTR!  We're becoming BTR Today!  Our new homepage is going to help you more easily discover all of the best music, videos, and writing that BTR has to offer.  And big news for the Saturday show!  Royal Baths has a new album out, and they're one of my favorite bands, so get ready to hear a lot more from them in the coming weeks.  Oh yeah, and there's new Of Montreal, A Place To Bury Strangers, AND Veronica Falls.  It's going to be a very, very good Saturday.
