DJ Hanabi and Insane Dane are no different from you. We have certain foods where if it’s put in front of us, we’re pretty much going to ravage it. Sometimes a Wheat Thin can cause a feeding frenzy.

This week discuss the observance of Ramadan and what it means to those who take part. We also say goodbye to one of the first bakeries to jump on the cupcake bandwagon. Us West Coast foodies also have a reason to be sad since Manresa will be closed for a few months to repair damage from a huge fire of 4th of July weekend.

We’re feeling lazy. We want things to be easy, not hard. That’s where we’re at with it all this week. But, we don’t want to eat garbage food either. We need to figure something out so that we can maintain our foodie street cred, but not actually have to make much of an effort. Also, Hanabi will in the very near future be reporting from Seattle. We’ve got the west coast and east coast locked down!
90-minutes of fun this Tuesday with DJ Emily and lots of stellar artists.

DJ Wynn shares reissued tracks from Death, new music from Wye Oak, and the myriad of feelings one goes through while searching for a home in New York City.
Sunday's with DJ Drew on BTR
This week on The Hash, DJs Molly and Dane discuss the issues at hand regarding Brad Pitt, who is expected to make a film about the Steubenville rape case. Then, the pair chats about a 2010 New York Times piece called "Think About Pink." The show wraps with an all-new segment called Media Relations.
This week on the show we have more brand new, or rather brand old, tracks from Death, who you can see a documentary about on Netflix called A Band Called Death. We've also got new new tracks from old band Pixies and brand new stuff from Wye Oak, that's gone in a much different direction than their previous work. And don't forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, SoundCloud and all of our social media sites!
It’s Folk Week on BTR, and for today’s Sew & Tell, I got to speak with one of the thirteen designers showcased in the current Folk Couture exhibit at the American Folk Art Museum. Gary Graham is a New York-based designer whose work had captivated the fashion world even before the 1999 launch of his eponymous label. With a background in costume design, including his textile contributions to the award-winning costumes for Broadway’s “The Lion King,” Gary’s collections juxtapose seemingly contradictory elements: intricate details balance simple silhouettes, bold prints balance active textures, and clean lines balance luxe fabrics. On today’s show, Gary talks about the path that took him from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to his own flagship store in Tribeca, the ways in which he draws on landscape and literature for inspiration, the special methods he used to create his Folk Couture coat-dress, and more. Plus, I’ve created possibly my favorite playlist of all shows today, taking a walk down my own memory lane of folk music with songs from the archives of artists like Neko Case, Iron & Wine, Phosphorescent, Sharon Van Etten, and more. So join us today on Sew & Tell as we discover style inspiration in the rich history of folk culture!
