It's my last show for March 2021 aka Women's History Month, so in honor of that, a playlist totally comprised of female artists -- celebrate women now and always
Tons of great music today including a track I am super pumped to share, Down On Our Love by Malachi Vereen.
Lots of great music in the mix including Arlo Parks, Libel and Andrew Thoreen. Plus some thoughts on President's Day.
This show marks 50 episodes of Super Superb. To celebrate this milestone, I am playing music that I have loved over the last year. I also share some Valentine's Day thoughts.
New tunes from Branjae, INEZ and Pisha. Plus tunes from artists that have been giving Emily awesome dreams.
The last week has been a bit of a blur -- apparently an attempt to overthrow the government can really cloud the air. Some breathing music this week. Some old standbys as well as some new tracks with more instrumental tracks than usual. Don't forget that while these events were shocking, they should not be considered surprising -- people behaved exactly as Donald Trump has been suggesting they should. The countdown is on until the Biden-Harris Administration is in place. Take a look at the ACLU's To-Do List to hold our new leadership accountable. One good thing to come out of the last week is all the great music that came my way as a result of my call on Twitter. There will be more in the coming weeks but I'm super pumped to share "Heart Aches" by Atlanta-based artist MarCell JB who got in touch right away when I asked for links to new music. You can also see the video here.
All our hosts pick and play our own music and we sure picked some good ones this year!
These artists got us through one of the craziest years of our lifetime. Click to hear some of Emily’s favorite tracks from 2020.
New tunes courtesy of The Deathray Davies, Quarter-Life Crisis, Call Me Spinster, and more!
This is part 3 of 3 for my 2020 year in music recap. As always, this is an incomplete list of my favorites, and presented unranked, though along the way I may highlight some records that really stood out a little extra for me this year. We’re doing things alphabetically this time around, so this episode covers artist names from O-W (no X, Y, or Z artists made the list this time around).
