Happy back to school! Everyone’s officially back to school now, right? Though there hasn’t been a full week for most? Well, even though we’re easing back into it, you deserve a treat, and that’s what this radio show is this Saturday. With great tracks from Waxahatchee, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, and Diane Coffee, you can’t miss out! And don’t forget to give BTR a like on Facebook!
We've got some great new music for you on God Bless Weirdmerica today. Keep your ears peeled for new ones from Bibio, Xiu Xiu, and Gardens & Villa. Plus, songs I haven't played before from Raleigh Moncrief, Setting Sun, and even a great old one from Telepathe. Plus, if you want more BTR (and who doesn't?) check us out on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Soundcloud, and Instagram!
Did you know that it's Planet Beet's 300th episode this week?!?! That's a huge landmark! I think this particular show is somewhere around 260, but it won't be too long before we hit that landmark, too! In August we'll have some exciting things coming up for our 5th Anniversary on BTR, but today we've got some great new tunes, which is just as exciting! And don't forget to check out BTR on Facebook and Twitter.
As I'm sure everyone either knows or has experienced first hand, this has been a pretty insane week because of Hurricane Sandy. Some people lost homes, some lost power, and some just lost their sanity from four or five straight days of staying inside. We're still feeling the effects from it here in New York and will be for a very long time. That's why on the show today we're going to play some comfort music, and some cathartic storm-themed music as well. I hope everyone is on the road to recovery and that everyone and their families are safe.
Summer is such a great time to find your new favorite song, and as the days get warmer and warmer, we've got to figure out who's in contention for 2012's favorite!  We've got lots of great candidates on the show today, so check it out and maybe you'll find your new go-to warm weather jam.  And, don't forget to find BTR on Facebook and Twitter.
