Port Isla
We’re featuring the new Album Of The Month by The Black Lips for the last week, and playing a few more tracks from the bloody awesome new LP by Tony Molina. Plus we play a Thee Vicars song that’s featured in a new TV commercial, cos Jason recorded it, and is very excited about it. We’s 100% raring to go! Am you?
This week’s show features a new Album Of The Month from The Ritchie White Orchestra, plus our Classic Album, from Stereolab, and Iain finally remembers to bring his Christmas present for the Planet Beet staff (ie Iain and Jason). Jason is more than thrilled. Spoiler Alert! Check the photos furhter down this page to see what we’re talking about. Or don’t.
Discovery Corner on BTR is the station’s primary source for up and coming musicians, giving them an outlet to share their music and ideas to the world.
This week, Iain and Jason have their memories wiped by a weird, futuristic robot, called Trevor. It’s no bed of roses, I can tell ya. On the up side, they are given new brains, which are 1000 times more powerful than their old, stupid brains. Will this make their banter any less banal and cringeworthy? I really doubt it somehow, but, let’s listen in and find out. Whadaya say? Let’s Radio!
Well, it’s another packed full of jam show for you today. Iain’s boiler has blown up, so he’s cold and grumpy (as per usual), and we get a surprise guest appearance from the bloke from British Gas. Also, a surprise appearance from Mat Riviere, talking about his new release. Sounds almost toooo good to be true, right? Whadaya say? Let’s Radio!
This week, Jason is still hawking the debut single by Norwich-ish band “Port Isla”. He’s also debuting a bunch of new stuff, and playing the new single by Admiral Fallow, which is out this coming week. I don’t know if you can say fairer than that. “Fairer than that!”. Oh, OK, smart-arse.. Come on, whadd’ya say?… Let’s radio!
