In this final indie label feature episode of 2020, we're catching up with Terry Cole of Colemine Records/Karma Chief/Remined Records to learn about the family business of selling records, their awesome physical space in Loveland, OH, and all about how they do things from planning a release to dealing with sync, operating a 45-focused label in the age of streaming, and adapting to a global pandemic and the sudden end of live music. Stick around for a massive mix of music from the label's eclectic output after the interview.
Punxsutawney Phil told us 6 more weeks of winter 9 weeks ago! Our DJs are so ready for spring to fully be here, we're going for a second round of our Spring Break Roadside celebration. There’s a lot of new music coming out right now from NYC-based artists. One such artist is Parlor Walls, whose new full length album is being released by Northern Spy Records on March 10th, so we invited frontperson Alyse Lamb to talk about her musical history in a segment we call Take3, in which we listen to and discuss three songs she’s written over the course of her career. We also listen to some great new tracks off of new releases by Stuyedeyed, PEP, and the Duke Of Surl. In addition to all that, we also have music by Chain Wallet, Michael Nau, Light Therapy, and Libel.
We celebrate this holiday weekend by looking back at some notable sessions of 2016. Today we feature Michael Nau, Tom Brosseau, Sonya Kitchell, and Mimes of Wine.
