Mankirt Aulakh teams up with Gurlez Akhtar, plus a lot of throwbacks sprinkled in the first segment. In the beyond set, we hear new tunes from Arooj Aftab, electronic musician Renu, and India’s Dee MC.
Jassie Gill drops a much teased playful vowel laden tune with Simar Kaur. The beyond segment includes tracks from the Vancouver based Snakes and Ladders label and their latest release by Protokhal, plus other selections from a Desi infused dance label.
With the farmers protest gaining international attention, G. Sidhu’s Kisaan Sun De, is still in heavy rotation. Plus, a seemingly randomized selection of tunes with a high percent of Kaur B in the Bhangra segment and in the beyond set Ali Sethi, Talal Quereshi and more.
Kaur B has been killing it since her debut in 2013. The Beyond section traverses the globe with tracks from MALFKTION, Talal Qureshi, and a new from the Vancouver based label Snakes and Ladders.
