Alexander F is the modern post-punk brainchild of Brooklyn musician Alex Toth, who is known for his work as a trumpet player and vocalist for Rubblebucket. It was a look inward during a silent retreat that inspired what would become the first batch of songs for Alexander F, which come to life with a perfectly poised execution, topped off by Alex’s captivating moves (think somewhere between Talking Heads’ David Byrne and Future Island’s Samuel Herring). The band descended upon the live room at Serious Business Music in DUMBO, Brooklyn, to give us a taste of what they’ve got going on! Alexander F’s self-titled new album is available now.
