It's my last show for March 2021 aka Women's History Month, so in honor of that, a playlist totally comprised of female artists -- celebrate women now and always
A slightly belated celebration of International Women's Day with a very female heavy playlist.
The last week has been a bit of a blur -- apparently an attempt to overthrow the government can really cloud the air. Some breathing music this week. Some old standbys as well as some new tracks with more instrumental tracks than usual. Don't forget that while these events were shocking, they should not be considered surprising -- people behaved exactly as Donald Trump has been suggesting they should. The countdown is on until the Biden-Harris Administration is in place. Take a look at the ACLU's To-Do List to hold our new leadership accountable. One good thing to come out of the last week is all the great music that came my way as a result of my call on Twitter. There will be more in the coming weeks but I'm super pumped to share "Heart Aches" by Atlanta-based artist MarCell JB who got in touch right away when I asked for links to new music. You can also see the video here.
It's my last show of 2020, so let's finish strong! More fave tracks from this year plus some thoughts on 2020 and plans for 2021. Lots of great stuff on today's ep.
This is part 1 of 3 for my 2020 year in music recap. As always, this is an incomplete list of my favorites, and presented unranked, though along the way I may highlight some records that really stood out a little extra for me this year. We're doing things alphabetically this time around, so this episode covers artist names from A to D.
The holidays are closing in. Some more favorite tracks from 2020 to listen as you do whatever it is you are doing. Music from Honey Cutt, Ryan Pollie, Adeline Hotel and more. One more show between this one and the new year -- let's go!
