Serious Business on BTR | ep175 | Aug 13, 2014
Baltimore trio Multicult (aka Nick Skrobisz, Jake Cregger, and Rebecca Burchette) bring a super minimalist, yet effective, approach to their music. They’ve got the post-punk aggression and no-BS thing down, pummeling ahead through every song like a three-headed monster of bass, drums, and guitar, with every instrument weaving in and out around the song, occasionally coming together for big, hooky choruses that cut through their fuzzy production aesthetic. The band stopped by to melt some faces in the studio and chat with Travis about how they write and record their songs.

Featured song: “Foreign Object”

Multicult’s upcoming LP, Variable Impulse, will be available September 23.
