Current Joys is the solo musical project of Los Angeles-based musician and video director, Nicholas Rattigan. Rattigan has bounced around quite a bit, from Reno (where his rockin’ duo Surf Curse is based) to NYC and LA, providing a wealth of inspiration to draw on for his 5th solo release. A visual album, it features self-directed videos for all 9 tracks that evoke the dark melancholy of his songwriting. While watching the videos isn’t required to appreciate or enjoy these songs, it certainly amplifies them and drives Nick’s vision home in a truly revealing way. A Different Age by Current Joys is available now from Danger Collective Records.
