Ryan Camenzuli, aka Zuli, is already ahead of the game at just 22 years old. Beyond being a skilled musician and songwriter, the NYC-based artist had a bit of luck early on, benefiting from a relationship with a member of his favorite band, Akron/Family. Zuli admittedly wears his influences on his sleeve, and so folk, experimental, and psych-pop touches stemming from A/F, Animal Collective, and the like shine through in his own music. We caught up with Zuli (the band) at a friend’s apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn, for this intimate acoustic performance.
