Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Duit!

BTRtoday joined the annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City, held on March 17th in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland.

This day began as a religious feast in the 17th century and has evolved into a rich spectrum of festivals across the world, celebrating Irish culture with parades, national foods, music, dancing, and a lot of shamrock. 🍀

Demonstrating solidarity for the Irish, many joined the parade and celebrations, including the NYPD, American Irish Teachers Association, and The Emerald Guild Society.

To embrace Irish culture, make sure to check out the Irish Arts Center of New York to learn about traditional dance and music, and check out free workshops for all.

Or get your fix of corned beef and cabbage with a pint of Guinness in the East Village’s sports bar Professor Thom’s for a special fixe prix.

Make sure to wear your best green accessories. (No matter how silly!)

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
