After a tumultuous year, filled with scandal and disease, it seems that Chipotle is once again pulling out all of the stops in an attempt to win back some respect.

Chipotle has created a simple memory game for customers to play on their smartphones, which, when played correctly, awards them access to some yummy free food.

The game itself was created to emphasize the chain’s commitment to freshness and quality ingredients. It involves a quick memory match up, where real Chipotle ingredients are interspersed with “imposters” like additives for flavor and color.

Well, if it gets me free food, sign me up.

The chain is also involved in a Halloween related promotion, wherein customers will be awarded burritos, bowls, or tacos for a mere $3.00 if they show up in costume.

Does this erase their sordid past, complete with store shutdowns and sick patrons? Certainly not. But, I will say that free or price reduced food goes a long way when it comes to winning people over.
